Introduction is redacted
According to statements made on 28 January 1952 by Radkowski (?), the sales manager of the Framo Plant at 2 Gottlob Kaller-strasse in Hainichen/Saxony (115K77), the scheduled production of the ¾-ton trucks could not be started because the rear axles and the lumber for the truck superstructure was not available. The lumber which had been offered, could not be accepted because of its poor quality. The plant management hoped to resume the assembly line production of motor vehicles in mid-February 1952. The daily capacity of the plant was reported to be twelve ¾-ton trucks.
[Redacted] comment. Before its expropriation the reported plant was owned by the Frankenberg Ltd. Metalworks. It is now an enterprise of the VEB IFA. Since 1947, according to other information, the plant has mass-produced horse-drawn farm vehicles and rotary cultivators (bodenfragsen).
