1962 DKW Munga - Information for Farmers and Forresters
In 1956, Auto-Union introduced the "Mehrzweck Universal Gelanderwagen mit Allradantrieb", or "Multi-Purpose universal off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive", thankfully abbreviated to MUNGA. The MUNGA was initally built to fulfil a contract for the German army, but from 1962 the vehicle was made available for personal use. The MUNGA would remain Auto-Union's last two-stroke powered vehicle, being withdrawn only in December 1968 after 46,750 examples were sold
