Expected by many - now started again!
With Auto-Union DKW reentering vehicle production in late 1949 the company started the New Year by reintroducing a publication for dealers and service agents. This is the very first edition. It is interesting to see that although the company weren't producing a passenger car at this time, replacement bodies were available for the prewar F5-7 and 8 models. These were supplied by other karosseriewerks as DKW's Spandau bodyworks was not able to recommence production. Below is my rough translation of the introduction:
"After the first year of hard but successful work, with which we have laid the foundation for a new Auto-Union, we have decided to revive the proven link between DKW network and ourselves with the present first post-war booklet. We do it consciously in order to meet the wishes of our large DKW family, who are now coming together again in order revive "from practice - for practice" in the old DKW spirit and, moreover, to create something new and even better.
In this sense, we offer thanks for the interest of our many faithful DKW friends, who have waited so long with patience and full trust, but not in vain, and at the same time offer our best wishes for a successful year in 1950."

Thanks to Ralf Kopmann of DKW Maintal for sharing these magazines. www.dkw-autounion.de
