1936 Auto-Union Report
Like the powerful stanzas of a lavish song of work, the works of Auto Union come together, resounding as a mighty symphony, each of its melodies spanning a wide range, carried by a single rhythm. One will forms and directs the diverse chorus of people and machines, a masterful score gives every smallest voice sound and tone, the innumerable machines stamp according to their rhythm, tens of thousands of steel wheels race, trains and automobiles roll, cranes lift and turn. And more than twenty thousand people march in unison. With skilfully practiced hands, you tune the individual instruments to a single great, compelling chord: Auto-Union.
Not a single master holds the thousands of intertwined threads in his hand, hundreds of men, different in work and office, united in one idea, directing and joining the various links of the individual works to a common goal.
And just as at all times and everywhere on earth the will to act together forced the visible expression of united creativity in buildings, so here too the heart penetrated the great living body of the factories, from which the current and impulse of all life emanate, to a coherence of its external form. People, whose entire activity goes on so closely related and intertwined paths, are no longer spatially restricted or separated by previous circumstances. A new house has been founded.
