DKW Police Vehicles

It may seem strange to us these days that DKW produced special police vehicles. Many people unfamiliar with these cars simply assume that with their little two-stroke engines these cars would have had similar performance to that other, more familiar two-stroke car, the Trabant. Nothing could be further from the truth. A well sorted DKW has stamina and long legs and can be driven flat out for long distances. On the autobahns it was a perfect pursuit vehicle.
